Alpha Phi values each member's passion for education, knowledge and achievement. Our founders were ten of the first twenty women admitted to Syracuse University in 1872 and they had the courage to persevere to earn a college education despite societal expectations at the time.

Alpha Phi at the University of Wisconsin-Stout places a large importance on scholarship and academic development.. Our Director of Scholarship, Amanda Kalscheur, provides many ways for members to excel in their academics. We host weekly study nights in the library, meet with Amanda to discuss our progress and any concerns we have, log study hours and are awarded with little prizes to encourage us.

Academics are not only an individual pursuit, but sisters in Alpha Phi push each other to do well scholastically. Sisters are always available to help out others as many of the upperclassmen have taken the same classes and help guide other sisters when they need extra help!
